Autumnal Layers

Yesterday was the first day of Autumn! I can’t believe how fast this year has gone. Looking back we have had an incredible year with some great successes. I always use Autumn/Winter to reflect on what I’ve achieved over the year and set myself goals for the coming year. There’s so much yet to do both in terms of personal achievements and also where we want to take Hijablicious to. Keep tuned on the site for some upcoming developments.

I was soooo excited at the prospect of finally taking out a warm coat and layering. I think for most girls who wear hijab and those who prefer dressing modestly, this has to be the best season. Theres no worries or woes about whether something is too thin, too see through or feeling too hot. I am such a girly girl and the idea of wearing a coat and trainers would make me shudder, however this cute parka coat (via House of Fraser) with a fur hood is pretty versatile. Its comfortably lined inside and so snug and you can wear it both casually or to and from work. I’m also totally crushing on my new Isabel Marants, I had been stalking these on-line for nearly two years but couldn’t justify the splurge, then I saw them for a bargain during the sales and had to snap them up, they are very comfy!

We are heading down to Bradford this week for the literature Festival, so if your around please do come say hi! More details here
