I absolutely love Lime Crime cosmetics.
Having launched in 2008, Lime Crime is a relatively new company that provides cosmetics that are animal friendly, cruelty free and mostly vegan. The range is full of vibrant colours and on the whole reasonably priced – somewhere between high street and designer brands.
My favourite red lip product ever is the Velvetine lipstick in Red Velvet – my new love.
A “long-lasting lipstick that goes on like a gloss and dries matte and velvety, like a rose petal” – it is exactly what it states! A staple for every makeup artists kit and perfect for brides as it lasts all day without drying out the lips (so I’ve found however I do top up every 3 hours or so which made the colour deeper and made my lips look fuller).
The texture can be described as quite liquidy, applies wet and easily glides onto the lips – dries within seconds and feels like it is barely there – a bit like a lip stain. The only downside is I can’t identify which glass I’ve drank from at events as it leaves no stains and does not smudge. This particular product is vegan and is always a hit with clients particularly as the majority of pink/red/coral lip products contain carmine. I feel sad to say that my Ruby Woo has been somewhat neglected since Red Velvet came along.
Here is an example of the lipstick on taken from the Lime Creme facebook page:
