You may need to put on some sunglasses when reading this post because the jacket is so BRIGHT!! I really couldn’t walk without people staring at my jacket, its not something you miss!
This is the outfit I wore for our Fashion and Faith seminar and talk in conjunction with London School of Fashion at the first ever Bradford Literature Festival (previous post here).
The seminar was really good, we had a good turnout and the discussion was really interesting, we also had a lot of men in the audience which was really refreshing and some fantastic discussions and questions were posed. People wanted to know how the ‘hijab’ (headscarf) and term ‘fashion’ go hand in hand and how faith can be a large contributing factor to the way some bloggers ‘blog’ . As always working with London School of Fashion is always a great experience, Dr Reina Lewis chaired the event and she helped us delve deeper into the connection between fashion and faith
The second part of the Seminar was about blogging and the mechanics involved i.e. what goes on behind the scenes. What is involved in the daily life of a blogger, utilising social media and how to work with brands. This seemed to go down well with attendees some of whom were thinking about starting a blog, so we may consider doing another one very soon!
