Skincare….the bane of my life. Us women don’t have it easy do we! In addition to everything else we have to juggle, trying to remain somewhat youthful and upkeep your beauty regime is just another addition we have to deal with.
Im fortunate I haven’t really had to deal with bad skin but I’ve had my fair share of beauty disasters and have decided to keep my beauty regime as minimalist and ‘organic’ as possible. Therefore keeping out any products with too many chemicals. I was getting to a point where I was fed up with the routine cleansing and toning activity night after night and felt it wasn’t really doing anything for my skin, I wanted it to feel squeaky clean- I had read reviews for thew Vanity Planet brush (Spin for perfect skin- see here) on a few websites and decided to purchase one. The idea of having a brush to work with the cleanser or face wash was quite appealing, also the benefits of circular motions to get the cells in your face moving and keep it tight was quite appealing. I was quite impressed with the cost of the brush, considering other contenders such as Clarisonic (Which I have not used), this is a very affordable alternative.
The set comes with a body brush, as well as a file brush which can be used on rough skin or to exfoliate (careful if you have super sensitive skin) and two facial brushes- there are a couple of colours to also choose form (naturally I went for pink).
Its been 4 months since I started using the brush and only wanted to do a review after regular use. I wasnt sure what to expect but I definitely feel my skin is clearer, its easier to ensure that makeup is all off and its not too harsh on the skin as I thought it would be. Its also nifty to use in the shower and I only recently started to use to body brush which is great at leaving your legs and arms very soft if used before the shower or during. I would recommend dry brushing- it takes a while to get use to making it part of your routine and a bit odd to using on the skin – in effect you use the brush all over before you shower (dry, no liquid) and its great at keeping the skin soft, supple and gets rid of any dead skin.
All in all, cant think of any downsides, most definitely worth it.
